One-time Red Sox shortstop Stephen Drew knows something about what Xander Bogaerts is going through. Drew told the Providence Journal’s Brian MacPherson that it took him at least three seasons to develop the instincts for success at the critical infield position.
“I’m 32,” Drew says, “and can look back and when I started at 22, playing in the big leagues, and I know he’s definitely going to learn a lot.”
