It’s the offseason, so it’s time to bring back a regular RSNStats feature called “3 Worth Reading” with noteworthy stories from around the web for Red Sox fans.
If you’re new to the feature, throughout the week we scan the stories about, or related to our favorite team and post three of the best right here on RSNStats.com.
Here are three to get you started right now:
- ESPN analyst and former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling says the Red Sox “have to get rid of” Hanley Ramirez this offseason. He also says Clay Buchholz can be a solid No. 2 pitcher, “He knows he’s not a one. I don’t think anybody would act and fake or think or tell him he’s a No. 1.”
- No one is untouchable, new Red Sox President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski says, but when it comes to Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts, he would be “very surprised if they’re not strong parts of our lineup next year.”
- Christopher Smith of MassLive.com throws a spotlight on Red Sox prospects Andrew Benintendi, Anderson Espinoza, Michael Kopech, Yoan Moncada, and Sam Travis, five youngster who could each earn multiple promotions in the 2016 season.
