The day after the World Series ends at 9:00 eastern time means a whole new class of major league free agents. There are now 149 new free agents in play.
Eight of those players were on the Red Sox roster in 2017: Fernando Abad, Blaine Boyer, Rajai Davis; Doug Fister, Mitch Moreland, Eduardo Núñez, Addison Reed and Chris Young.
Some other key players that have newly entered free agency on Thursday include Jake Arrrieta, Jay Bruce, Alex Cobb, Yu Darvish, Todd Frazier, Eric Hosmer, Jonathan Lucroy, J.D. Martinez, Logan Morrison, Mike Moustakas, Michael Pineda, Fernando Rodney, Masahiro Tanaka, Chris Tillman, Greg Holland, and CC Sabathia.
